Method
1. Using a teaspoon, hollow out a hole in the middle of each cupcake.2. Fill each hole with 2-3 cherries and a teaspoon of kirsch syrup. It doesn’t matter if they poke out of the top of the cake as this will be iced over.
3. Mix the buttercream with the food colouring until you achieve the perfect brain colour and use to fill a piping bag with a round nozzle.
4. Take each cake and ice a brain pattern on by piping two semi circles with the straight line going through the middle and then filling in the gaps with a wiggly line.
5. When ready to serve spoon a teaspoon of kirsch syrup over each cake, allowing it to run between the lines.

• 12 cupcakes, shop bought or home made
• 1 jar of Opies Black Cherries with Kirsch
• 400g buttercream icing, shop bought or homemade
• 1 drop of purple/ pink food colouring gel
